August 5th….6 weeks down

It's been a month that Sister Potter has been out and she is doing amazing! She is in a small town called Ava, Missouri. Her Companion, Sister Mordicai is from Lehi, Utah and she only has a few weeks left before she returns home. Sister Potter has had many service opportunities, one being that she is helping build a Cobb house which is made out of mud and dirt, for a family to live in. One of her first lessons she got to teach was to a family of 5 the dads name is Bucky and his wives name is Mary she taught about the first vision and in the MTC she was challenged to memorize the first vision so when she got to teaching them she said it all by memory and she got the chills and knows that heavenly father helped her and knew the holy ghost was in the room with them, Bucky then agreed to be baptized and is now deciding a date for his baptism.
She then shared with us testimony which is: I know that my redeemer lives and I know that he died on the cross for us so that we could live with our heavenly father again. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel on the earth so that we could have this gospel. I know that our heavenly father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith so that we have the church on the earth and I know that my heavenly father loves all of his children even the ones that won't quit smoking, i know that we can live with our heavenly Father again when we do and I love this gospel with all my heard and i know that this gospel is true and that we have a modern day prophet on the earth today to guide us and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ our savior amen.
